We’re in, made it as scheduled.

Busy week last week = blogging wasn’t prior. We worked our buts of to make the boat ready for Saturday’s scheduled launch.

Busy week last week = blogging wasn’t prior. We worked our buts of to make the boat ready for Saturday’s scheduled launch.
Now we’re in, and customizing Amie to be our home. Easier said than done, we have too much stuff still to fit in place in the boat. We need to take a second turn around and clear out more things. We thought we had cleared all possible but oh so wrong we were.

We plan to get our mast on by the end of this week, a former colleague of mine will help us, if time is found so we are hoping to get the needed work done as soon as possible and maybe we can do it on Thursday. Daniel managed to brake one of the components on the wind instrument so we have ordered a new one, it can be replaced with the mast in place as fortunate.

The launch was celebrated with some champagne and good conversations with friends and family in the cockpit, my sister from Gävle was in town so it was really nice, and the summer weather was on a visit so we spent all the evening outside. Sadly the warmth went away and at Sunday morning we woke up to cold and windy weather. Today it has actually been snowing, so we have the heater on day and night in the boat.

The move aboard has given us the time to take pictures and make advertising of the furnitures left so we hope to clean up the last things in the apartment soon and leave the keys. When the rigging is done we hope to sail away for a couple of weeks down south in the lake we live in.

We will keep you updated and I will try to get the rigging on video so we can show you how we are managing to get it done for the first time without the former owners, they helped us last year. I trust our frind who is a good sailor and used to rigging.

With all this I wish you a great week with lots of joy!
