Why do we gather all things? Most of it we never use or will use. though it’s so hard to get rid of it! You don’t miss it when it’s gone, despite this we find excuses to keep them instead of giving to charity or family and friends. There is no game that says most stuff gained during a life time takes home the prize in the end of life.
It has sunk in now that our contract with the landlord is cancelled and we are in full progress to get rid of all our belongings. Even if we did a massive cleanse when we sold our property back in July last year, we have gathered so much stuff not needed. Anyway, one thing after another is sold, given away or trashed. This is such a relief, it’s like a stone falling from my shoulders each time, knowing that for each one we are taking one step towards freedom. The things left is all things we need, after all a 33 footer is not that spacious.
in the up coming days we are going to uncover our beauty and plan the necessary jobs that need to be done before the launch in May 6th. With that done we can do one thing at a time, since we are spending full time on the boat the coming months.
It is so exciting to be able to live on board our boat, since it is the first time to live aboard full time and I feel so much joy. We do have some experience of compact living from our year in a caravan and it si going to be amazing. Our goal is to be fully accommodated in the end of May, this gives us approximately five months on board before it is time to find something furnished to rent during the winter season.
The accommodation, yes… Where the boat ends up over the winter season is reliable on where the possibilities to earn money is. Our plan is to work with some different stuff a little here and there where it is needed and for shorter periods of time to be able to move down wards the coastline. The focus is to establish the online business and to get that up and running full time, making money while we are asleep is a goal in it self. The major thing for us is to be able to have Pelle at home not having to set him up for kinder garden.
One thing at the time, all things have their time… Now is the time to get the boat seaworthy, get rid of all the stuff don’t needed and to move out of the apartment, busy days in the agenda! “Live here and now” and the rest will fall in to place along the way, we don’t need to see the whole staircase to take the first step. I can tell it is not an easy project with a nine months old little guy, a “stay at home mum” wife and myself at home from work at the doctors prescription. Nothing happens in a fast lane.
But hey! No complaints, we are turning this into success. We are about to take of on our life’s grate adventure, and who knows where we might end up.
Happy spring time to y’all!
