Obstacles are what you see when you take your eyes off the goal
– Henry Ford
“It is possible, yes it is, off course you can do it”. We can do whatever we want to, there are no limits, it´s only in our mind. Because we become what we think about most of the time. “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t you’re right.”
THE LAW OF JANTE, still going strong?
“Generally used colloquially in Sweden and the rest of the Nordic countries as a sociological term to describe a condescending attitude towards individuality and success, the term refers to a mentality that de-emphasis’s individual effort and places all emphasis on the collective, while discouraging those who stand out as achievers.”
Doing what we are doing, considered strange and unnecessarily. Not by all we are meeting, we meet a lot of wonderful people that both inspires us and peps us. But in generally people probably think, “why cant they just do anything normal”. They don´t tell us in words, it´s not a Swedish manner do to so. But it´s so clear in their body language and they often change subjects of speech.
Now and then The Law of Jante comes up and most people says that it doesn’t exist anymore, I really don´t agree at all, I often hear things like “you shall not think that you are something better” or “you shall not think you deserve something different from anybody else”. I think it’s awful, because what we are doing isn’t to provoke or make anyone else inferior, we simply do what we think is right for us and we do feel inspired by people who “makes it happen” for themselves.
We believe in the law of attraction, one of universe’s four laws of prosperity (more about this here) and that everything starts with a thought. We are not our thoughts, but we create our thoughts and therefor we all so create our life. All of the universe is made out of energy and as we know energy can’t be destroyed, only altered and turned in to different shapes. If we can heighten our energy frequency then we can attract things, experiences and situations that we want to have in our life, simply by believing and thinking we can.
In the life of today we see people who don’t have time to pursue their dreams because they have their job, their families or the weekly TV shows to be watched. Maybe the society has the impact in our lives with telling us how to live? Or is it something else? Now a days if you want to just stop by for a coffee at someones place it should be planned for weeks ahead. (We are the lucky ones to have a few that still wants us to drop in) All this in a world where everything is focusing on efficiency…where has all the time saved gone? have we missed out on something, like a time account where you can save all this time leftover for later on? We do believe that the one thing that is equal for all around the world is the amount of time we got, 24 new hours each day.
To be home from work for a couple of weeks has given some perspective, and makes me wonder about the important things in life. Is it me or the company I work for, is it sound to have the phone turned on 24/7 even of the work hours? As we are told to do. Is the most important thing in life to spend most of the waking hours away from family? And only to live for the weekends? I don’t think so. It’s finally time to pursue a new path in life, a one that focuses on health, love and hanging out with family and friends.
Tomorrow it’s going to be a sunny day and it’s time to take a look inside the boat for the first time in a long time, time to make some real plans for our near future…
